173.  Midian (Abraham, Terah, Nahor, Serug, Reu, Peleg, Eber, Salah, Arphaxad, Shem, Noah, …) was born after 1853 BC in Hebron.

 

Notes for Midian:

His name in Hebrew is: מדין Midyân (,mid-yawn’) Strongs #: 4080; brawling, contention(-ous).

His father Abraham was about 140 when he was born.  It can be surmised that when Midian got older, that he was sent away but with gifts but he was not part of Abraham's will.  (1)

Midian traveled east into the land of Cush and upon finding a large valley, a city was built in which he dwelt with his five children.  His children also built cities as well and named the cities after their own names.  (2)
