172.  Jokshan (Abraham, Terah, Nahor, Serug, Reu, Peleg, Eber, Salah, Arphaxad, Shem, Noah, …) was born after 1853 BC in Hebron.

 

Notes for Jokshan:

His name in Hebrew is: יקשן Yoqshân (yok-shawn’) Strongs #: 3370; insidious.

Not too much is said about Jokshan, although his father was about 140 when he was born.  Jokshan’s children chose not to dwell in the cities of their brethren and they chose to journey abroad and encamp in countries and wildernesses.  (1)

His name in Hebrew is: שבא Shebâ’ (sheb-aw’) Strongs #: 7614.

Only mentioned in Jasher 25:3 & 8 and Genesis 25:3.  Sheba and his brother Dedan did not want to dwell with their brethren in cities so they journeyed and encamped in countries and wildernesses.
