174.  Ishbak (Abraham, Terah, Nahor, Serug, Reu, Peleg, Eber, Salah, Arphaxad, Shem, Noah, …) was born after 1853 BC in Hebron.

 

Notes for Ishbak:

His name in Hebrew is: ישבק Yishbâq (yish-bawk’) Strongs #: 3435; he will leave.

Not too much is said about Ishbak, although his father Abraham was about 140 when he was born.  It can be surmised that when Ishbak got older, that he was sent away but with gifts but he was not part of Abraham's will.  Therefore, Ishbak and his brothers traveled east and settled the east country.  (1)  (Gen. 25:5 & 6; Jash. 25:6 & 7.)

 

The three children of Ishbak are:
