Jared, Enoch’s father was 162 when Enoch was born. Therefore, Enoch lived to the
age of 65 when his son Methuselah was born, but he only lived to the age 365 on the
earth. He didn’t die, since Yahvah decided to take him from the world so that he
could be in the Garden of Eden with much greatness and honor. This is in Jubilees
In Jasher 3, the story of Enoch goes into more detail than Genesis does. Enoch
had been reigning as a king for 243 years until Adam died which means that Enoch
was 305 when Adam passed away. Enoch was 62 years old when he began to reign over
In the 365th year of Enoch’s life, Yahvah told him that He wished to take Enoch
up to heaven. Enoch assembled the inhabitants of the earth, taught them what they
should know, and told them that he was leaving. Soon, the likeness of a great horse
came from heaven and stood in front of Enoch, and all the men saw this. After more
instructions from Enoch, Enoch mounted the horse to leave, but the 800,000 men whom
Enoch instructed followed Enoch for a day’s journey.
On the second day, Enoch told them to return home unless they should die. However,
only a few of the people returned home, but the rest continued to follow him for
six days. The men that had not left Enoch after those six days told Enoch that they
would follow Enoch everywhere he went, and only death could separate them from him.
They pressed Enoch so much that Enoch ceased to tell them to go home. However,
it was on that day that Enoch ascended into heaven in a whirlwind, with horses and
chariots of fire. Those men that went with Enoch froze to death and became as stones
